Good news | Gecko Automobile obtains the qualification of special vehicle production enterprise

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the "Announcement on Road Motor Vehicle Production Enterprises and Products", approving Shenzhen Gecko Automobile Technology Co., Ltd., a special vehicle company under Gecko Automobile, to obtain the qualification of a special vehicle production enterprise.

The acquisition of this qualification is an important milestone for Gecko Auto. Gecko Auto provides various types of commercial vehicle products to the world with advanced digital chassis (also known as skateboard chassis) as its core. The approval of this special vehicle qualification lays the foundation for Gecko Auto to fully utilize the advantages of skateboard chassis. Gecko Auto will bring leading commercial vehicle products to the market in various special scenarios such as RVs, refrigerated trucks, sanitation trucks, fire trucks, ambulances, catering trucks, and tow trucks.

In the "Three-Year Action Plan for Shenzhen to Accelerate the Construction of a "New Generation of World-Class Automobile City" (2023-2025)" formulated by the Shenzhen Municipal Government, it is proposed to build the entire Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone into a world-class automobile manufacturing city. At the same time, the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone has formulated the "Development Plan for the Construction of a New Generation of World-Class New Energy Automobile City in the Shenzhen Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone (2023-2030)", which plans to build the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone into a world-class new energy automobile manufacturing city by 2025, and initially form a complete vehicle pattern of "BYD + 1 passenger car + 1 commercial vehicle". By 2030, the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone will be built into a world-class new energy automobile ecological city and the world's largest new energy automobile production base.

In this grand blueprint, Gecko Automobile actively responded to the government's call and, with the support of Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and Shenzhen-Shantou Cooperation Zone, successfully obtained approval for special vehicle production qualifications.
